We’ve all heard about the health benefits of green tea. Even doctors talk about replacing sugary drinks in our diet with green tea,
which is better for you than regular tea. But nobody really says what’s so great about it.
Green tea is essentially the same as regular tea, called black tea, but it looks different because of the way it’s made.
Unlike black tea, green tea is not exposed to oxygen when it’s processed. This gives it a green color and apparently makes a huge difference for our bodies. But is green tea really all it’s cracked up to be?

Green tea lowers cholesterol, blood pressure, and other risks of stroke and heart disease. It also has antioxidants that fight inflammation to reduce body pain, swelling, and redness.
In general, it’s a powerhouse to help make our hearts stronger and improve our overall health
2) Cancer fighter
This is still being tested, but one thing is for sure – people who drink lots of green tea are less likely to have cancer.
Researchers also believe green tea stops cancer from spreading in current cancer patients.
This may be because the antioxidants in green tea suppress the development of tumors to fight breast cancer and a host of other types of cancer, including lung, stomach, bladder, prostate, colorectal, etc
3) Diabetes stabilizer
Green tea helps to keep your blood sugar from rising and falling too quickly, which is what makes you feel so crappy after meals and snacks.
Those large changes in your blood sugar levels increase your risk of developing diabetes (or it makes it harder to manage your diabetes if you already have it).

To be fair, green tea is not a miracle diet pill, so you can’t just drink green tea and expect to lose 100 pounds.

I know, right? Green tea gives you energy and relaxes you? How is that even possible? Green tea has an amino acid called theanine that relaxes your mind and helps you manage your stress.
Research shows that people who drink green tea have lower psychological distress and anxiety than people who do not drink green tea.
This can help you stay in a better mood and be more focused throughout the day

Scientists also believe that green tea helps to improve cognitive brain function and working memory.
Green tea improves connectivity within the brain, which basically means it helps your nerves send messages between regions in your brain more efficiently,

It makes your breath smell better and it’s is good for your teeth, as it kills the germs that cause cavities and gum disease.
So be sure to drink green tea when you are getting ready for your next date to make sure your breath stays fresher longer.
